Instagram  users can now publish videos that last up to 60 seconds, before today it was only possible videos up to 15 seconds. This new feature extension, following the latest update on iOS and Android will be available to all users within the next coming months.  This new user feature occurs on the context where around two months ago, Instagram  had extended the video length capability for its advertisers up to one-minute long.  “ We want to bring you fun, flexible and creative ways to create and watch video on Instagram,” the company announced on a post . Everyone is Familiar with Selfies, how about when friends take a photo of you using your own camera? The concept is called "Someone Elsie" It was launched today  Shootlr on the iOS and Android stores, a new app that works by giving away self control of a user selfies and sharing and passing the selfie concept to a user's friends control.  In other words, allowing photography decisions to be passed to a user's friends, where they can take a selfie of a user, using the user's own smartphone. In practice the app processes the concept in such a way, as to remind a user that it has been a while since you have seen a photo of your friend e.g. Sasha,  the interested user then sends send a photo request to Sasha. Then, a notification buzzes on Sasha’s phone; when she opens the app, a timer immediately starts its three-second countdown. Twitter has published a proprietary live-streaming video app for iOS  . This news comes in a context where a few weeks ago it was announced a similar service Meerkat at the SXSW . The new app called  Periscope works by allowing its users to live-stream from their smartphones to viewed publicly on-line. This new app is not a new idea, as there are already similar apps available, however in this case it appears to be trending topic as technology such as 4G allows for better capabilities and signal improvement responsiveness. Google  only friday  announced  more updates to its popular service  YouTube . It now follows, that many more users will soon be able to use the great capability of live streaming. The pre-requisite for YouTube users to use this capability is that their channel needs to be in a good standing and include a minimum number 100 channel subscribers. As a result, it is safe to assume that many more users (such us our channel YODspica ) are soon capable to live stream of which in our case it suits perfectly as we have a great event coming up in September that we would like to use this capability. Bing Now Offers New Interactive Sidebar via Social Media

The search engine  Bing  from Microsoft  now has a new social sidebar, which is capable to display the latest content from a user content stream of their Facebook friends including Twitter , Klout , Quora among others, where it was first announced here . This new Bing capability allows users to be able to like Facebook posts directly from the social sidebar and engage with the content stream by adding comments. Furthermore, a user can also see all of existing comments made on a post from just the sidebar. Tagging Photos Now Possible for Instagram Users

Good news for Instagram users, as a new capability is now available called  Instagram photo tagging , and it follows on the popular feature already present on Facebook .  The new capability is now present on the new version of Instagram app available on  iOS and Android . The way it works is that users are able to tag photos of any person or brand, and as a result photos will display the tags under "Photos Of You” section of users profiles.  It is quite to similar in comparison to the way it works on Facebook, as it follows that users notifications are sent to anyone that is tagged where permissions are requested before publications show a user tag, as standard. On Twitter Birthday its Archives Are Now Available in Many Languages

On the occasion of the Twitter seventh birthday , it was announced further to its continued addition of new features , that users can have an archive of all their all time tweets including retweets in a choice of many more languages that the user published content on. The languages now supported include Danish, Filipino, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Thai, Turkish and Urdu. The Archive option feature was first introduced , in December 2012, today it was stated by twitter: Today, we’re introducing the ability to download your Twitter archive, so you’ll get all your Tweets (including Retweets) going back to the beginning. Once you have your Twitter archive, you can view your Tweets by month, or search your archive to find Tweets with certain words, phrases, hashtags or @usernames.
