Microsoft Launches Artificial Intelligence Chat Tay For Young People

Microsoft launched in the US an Artificial Intelligent chat bot called Tay.ai, built by the Microsoft Technology and Research and Bing teams, 

The goal is to conduct real-world research on conversational understanding. Tay, works by attempting to engage in playful conversations, by completing a multitude of tasks.

As an example of how it works, is that you can simply ask Tay for a joke, play a game, ask for a story, send a picture to receive a comment back or even ask for a horoscope. From the experienced the bot become, it will then also get smarter from multitude of interactions via chat, so that it makes for an increasingly personalized experience for its users.

The bot is similar to another also built by the Bing team for the Chinese market, called Xiaoice, which The New York Times covered in-depth last year.
