Amazon Launched Today Own MP3 Music Store for iOS Users

Amazon has today launched its own a MP3 store  which allows for iPhone and iPod users to purchase digital music. The way it works nevertheless, is that iPhone users are required to purchase using the Safari Web browser, as a result the process does involve further steps than via the traditional iTunes.

Furthermore, the new MP3 store and its mobile site is built based on HTML5, thus purchases can be made on the dedicated site at Amazon.

It was stated by Steve Boom, vice president of Amazon Music that: "Since the launch of the Amazon Cloud Player app for iPhone and iPod touch, a top request from customers has been the ability to buy music from Amazon right from their devices... For the first time ever, iOS users have a way do that."
