Instagram Users To Have Web Public Profiles



It seems that due to user demand, the fourteen-person team which make Instagram have decided to provide its users with a new web public presence. An preview example can be seen on Alexia, this new feature will be available to all users within the next few weeks and will be viewable publicly by going to the domain instagram.com followed by a slash with the users username.

The new web profile for instagram users will have limited functionality at this stage it will include the capability to Like and Comment on users photos, furthermore users will also be able browse photos. The new profiles will have a facebook familiar layout with the photos being displayed chronologically below the main header user profile.
